Introducing Esti-Mysteries! Each image invites students to wonder what number is represented by the image. As you click through each Esti-Mystery, clues will appear that will allow the students to use math concepts to narrow the set of possibilities to a small set of numbers. Teacher Tips: 1. Allow students to amend their estimates after each clue. Watch for reasonableness. After doing this as a whole class a few times, and modeling the creation of an esti-mystery, have students create their own. They must create their own clues and present to the class. Students demonstrate their understanding of odd and even when they amend their estimates. 2. Great for number routines.
