That's all you need to make your own DIY science project for kids, and explore the basics of simple circuits and electricity for kids. This experiment for kids is great for all ages. For younger children you can talk about how to open and close the circuit, and making predictions and observations. For older kids, you can talk about how electricity works, how batteries work, why batteries have two electrodes (positive and negative), how to batteries "die", how electrons flow through a closed circuit, and how to create simple circuits, series circuits, and parallel circuits.
