How to Make a Simple Circuit | DIY Science Experiments for Kids | Kids Science Fun

Add some awesome STEM education and physics into your week with easy science experiments for kids. With just a few materials, you can explore electricity and how to create a simple circuit. Want to take it a step further? Try adding more than one light bulb to create either a series circuit or parallel circuit. Have fun, and try out our science experiments to do at home! Materials to make your own Paper Plate Circuit: -Paper Plate -Small bulbs cut from mini string lights (Christmas string lights) with the ends of the wires stripped to expose the wire filaments -AA battery and *optional 9V battery (we highly suggest having an adult in charge of the 9V battery, as the wires from the bulb can get warm/hot to the touch if held too long on this battery) -Electric Tape -Aluminum Foil -Scissors That's it! That's all you need to make your own DIY science project for kids, and explore the basics of simple circuits and electricity for kids. This experiment for kids is great for all ages. For younger children you can talk about how to open and close the circuit, and making predictions and observations. For older kids, you can talk about how electricity works, how batteries work, why batteries have two electrodes (positive and negative), how to batteries "die", how electrons flow through a closed circuit, and how to create simple circuits, series circuits, and parallel circuits.
