This article outlines how teachers can incorporate social justice teachings in their classrooms. This article also defines social justice and lists its goals. During my internship, I had a Grade 8 student come to me and tell me about the speech she had to write on a social justice issue. She told me about how her teacher has been incorporating social justice issues into their language units. This inspired me to look more into how I can do the same in my future classroom. One suggestion I found very helpful was to consider the material you choose to include in your teachings. Your material should present multiple viewpoints as to not create bias in students.
