Students will design a 3 x 3 puzzle cube and will be given a demonstration of how to use a 3D printer to make a puzzle cube. The students will start by designing their puzzle cube on graph paper, this is to act as their blueprint. The puzzle cube should contain 5 pieces and each piece should be drawn to scale on the blueprint. Then, the students will use a 3D printing app to create a digital copy of their blueprint. The instructor will then demonstrate how one might print their puzzle cube in a 3D printer. Topics covered in this activity are geometry and 3D printing.
